On Thursday, August 27, 2026, the Madison County Sheriff's Department in Indiana received reports of a loose lion, and a drone operator told authorities they had confirmed sighting both an adult lion and a cub in a field. Sheriff's deputies and state police searched Hancock and Madison counties, but a roughly four-hour search using ground units and thermal drones did not locate the animals. This market will resolve to "Yes" if both the referenced adult lion and the cub are confirmed captured and placed into the custody of law enforcement or animal control by the specified date and time. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No".
